Solution

Navica is the DSS that leverages:

  • IOT on-board sensors
  • machine learning regression models to analyse and predict vessel performance
  • correlations with real-time marine weather conditions
  • Satellite Earth Observation (SatEO) data for complete environmental insights
  • custom-developed AI algorithms for intelligent route planning

Navica provides fleet operators with data-driven recommendations, minimising fuel consumption, reducing operational costs, and improving overall maritime sustainability.

Outcomes

The Navica pilot demonstration has been launched, engaging three distinct user groups to validate the solution:

  • confirming the operational efficiency in reducing fuel consumption and associated costs in fishing activities,
  • verifying robust data exchange between on-board systems and remote monitoring stations,
  • ensuring it meets industry needs and providing tangible value to end-users.
